01 / 03How it works

Three steps. Nothing
leaves your device.

1

Fill out independently.

Everyone opens the app on their own phone. No account. No login. Just a checklist.

2

Generate a code.

Your answers turn into a single shareable code. The code is your data — there's nothing on a server.

3

Decode together.

Paste the codes side by side. See matches, talking points, and gaps — privately, on your devices.

FAQ

What is a desires checklist?

A desires checklist helps you find out what you want and talk about it. On your own, it sorts your desires, curiosities and limits. With a partner or a group, everyone fills out the same list independently, then you compare. It shows mutual interests and clarifies limits — without the pressure of a live negotiation.

How does the code work?

Your answers are packed into a compact binary code. Nothing touches a server. The code is the data — no external storage. Save it to your notes, share it only with who you choose.

Is my data actually private?

Yes. getClosr is a static HTML page. There is no backend, no database, and no analytics. Your browser does all the work. We have no way to see your answers even if we wanted to.

The one exception is the optional Send feedback switch at the bottom of the page. Nothing loads until you turn it on, and only what you send leaves your browser: your message, any image you attach yourself, the page address without your code, and your browser type and screen size. Never your answers or codes. An AI model reads the message once to understand it, and it is stored in a private inbox, not published. To keep spam out, Cloudflare's bot check runs once the switch is on.

Can I use this without a partner?

Absolutely. Many people use the list for self-exploration — to understand their own desires, curiosities, and limits. Save your code to revisit later.

What does "Needs context" mean on an activity?

Items marked Needs context are activities where mistakes can cause serious harm. They require specific education, skill, and deep trust before attempting. Read the tooltip on the activity for a quick framing, and seek out community resources and mentors first.

What is Safe, Sane, and Consensual (SSC)?

Safe: Minimise risk, learn about activities, negotiate boundaries. Sane: Decide with a clear head, free from pressure. Consensual: All activities freely agreed to by everyone; consent can be withdrawn at any moment.

RACK (Risk-Aware Consensual Kink) acknowledges that some activities carry inherent risk even with precautions — reducible through education and communication.

Who made getClosr?

Turn off anything you don't want to think about today

You can change this later. Some categories sit further out, so opt in only if you want to.

Anything that's a hard no, in your own words.
Shared in your code and profile card — write only what you want others to read.

Hard limits appear first in a comparison and on your profile card. Keep them short enough to scan in the QR code.

Share your profile

Everything you can hand over sits in one place, and each option says what it reveals: a public card, a comparison, or the private code that carries your notes.

A code someone sent you goes into the one field on the home screen — it decodes there and tells you what is inside before you decide.
