Privacy

getClosr is built so that your answers stay on your device. There is no account, no database and no tracking, and the site sets no cookies. This page lists the few things that do reach a server, and why.

1. Who is responsible

The controller under the GDPR is the person named in the imprint. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email hello@getclosr.link.

2. Your list stays in your browser

Your ratings, notes, hard limits, saved comparisons and codes you paste are kept in your browser's local storage on this device. They are not sent anywhere. A code or a profile image only leaves your device when you share it yourself. “Discard” on the start page deletes your current draft only. Saved comparisons, pasted codes and preferences remain on this device. To delete all data stored by this site, clear the site data for getclosr.link in your browser. Codes and images you have already shared are not deleted.

3. Hosting

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) on Cloudflare Workers. When you open it, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data such as your IP address, the date and time, the file requested and your browser type, to deliver the site and keep it secure. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working site). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and also relies on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. Feedback, only if you send it

Nothing of the feedback form loads until you turn on the “Send feedback” switch. If you then send a message, the text you type and any file you attach go through this site's own address to a feedback service that runs on Cloudflare Workers. To understand your message and, if needed, ask one follow-up question, the service sends the text (and the first attached image) once to an AI model through our own gateway; the model is Google Gemini (Google LLC, USA), with OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C., USA) as a fallback. The service stores your message in our private feedback inbox on Cloudflare; it is not published. Attached files are deleted after 30 days. Before sending, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are not a bot; Turnstile processes technical data such as your IP address. Your list, your codes and your answers are never part of a feedback message. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in fixing problems you report). Please don't write anything personal into a feedback message.

5. Buy me a coffee

Nothing from Buy Me a Coffee loads until you tap “Buy me a coffee”. The tap opens a panel with the Buy Me a Coffee form, loaded from buymeacoffee.com (Buy Me a Coffee, Inc., USA). From then on Buy Me a Coffee processes data such as your IP address and whatever you enter or pay, under its own privacy policy. getClosr passes nothing from your list to it.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You can also complain to a supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
